Welcome to our web site!
Our men's 7v7 team is named after the Famous NASL N.Y. Cosmos. Hopefully we can play
as well as they did from the 70's to mid 80's.

Cosmos -6 Westside -6
We should have won the game lead 6-4 with only 5 minutes left in the game. Westside tied it up with less than a minute
to play. We still lead the league with the tie.
Cosmos 4 Elite FC - 6
We lost a close game even thought we were short 2 players for the first 10 minutes and short one for the remainder of
the game. If we had a full squad we would have won.
Game Summary (9-26) Cosmos -7 Madrid - 3
Cosmos started of fast with 3 goals in the first 6 minutes of the game. Halftime score was 3-1. In the second half the
Cosmos really took control after adding 2 more goals to their lead. With the score now 5-1 the Cosmos started to relax and
play around with the other team. Cosmos finished of a few more goals before the whistle blew and won a very easy 7-3 game.
(9-19-08) Cosmos win 9-6 over CFC
Cosmos had a great attendance for the game with 4 subs. Everyone played well and contributed in the game. Poling
had a great game scoring 4 goals. The following players all chipped in with a goal: Chuy, Tatone, Martin, Shawn, and Sean.
We're now 4-0-0 and tied for 1st place.
Cosmos win 6-5 over Rowdies
It was a great game and we finished strong and came from behind to win it. It would have been an easier
game for us to win if Ramone hadn't waited unitl the last minute of the game to score the winning goal!!!
Game Update 9-5-08 Cosmos 6 Strikers 3
A great game for all that showed last night. We started the game with only 7 players and eventually had 2 more show up
later. The first half was tough with no subs. Halftime score was 1-1 after Tatone scored a great goal. In the second half
the McDermotts brothers had both arrived and gave us a boost. Sean scored a hat trick as wel as Tatone. Final score 6-3.
Game Update 8-22-08 Cosmos 12 oc Galaxy 5
We had a great start to our new season with 10 guys showing up and an impressive victory. We wlecome new players Louis
McDermott, Ozzi Martinez, Aaron Poling and Jaeson Fikse. Last season we beat Galaxy 9-5 so it appears we have improved some
from last season. I think we still need to work on our team defense. We will not play a game 8-29 but will resume play the
following Friday. 2 new additions that will be joining our team next game are Sean Gainey and Matt Clement. Both players are
ex Vanguard players. Matt played with us the very first season but broke his ankle in the 1st game of the season. Hopefully
he will last more than a game this time?

Game recap ( 6-6-08) Cosmos 5 Strikers 4
With the win Cosmos earn a birth into the Finals against UFC who beat us by one goal last time. The
game against Strikers wasn't as close as the score indicates. Comos had a 5-2 lead with 5 minutes left and aloud 2 goals by
just walking around. The game ended after the 4th goal was scored against us. In the game Tatone had 2 goals and an assist.
Shoup had 1 goal and 1 assist. McDermott had a goal and Joe Bahash had his first goal of the season. We finish in 2nd place
at 7-2-0.
Game Recap (05-30-08) Cosmos 8 Westside 7
A great victory for the Cosmos! Being down 4-2 at halftime meant we had to really step it
up a couple levels to tie the game up. With less than 2 minutes left PJ put away the winning goal from about 12 yards out.
Mike Lussier had a great second half and finished the game with 4 goals. The team got a little boost at halftime as Chuy had
arrived late but just in time. Chuy had a great second half goal and an assist . Martin had a few goals also and an assist.
A big thanks goes to the guys that tried to play keeper for us in the game (Scott, Jason, Shawn, Carlos) The win puts us in
2nd place with one more game to play before playoffs.
Game recap(5-23-08) Cosmos 9 Galaxy 5
We needed to win this game to have a chance at getting to the finals. With the victory and the tie
by first place Westside we are now in 3rd place . If we beat Westside next week we will be in 2nd place by ourselves which
will put us into the championship game for a rematch against UFC. Of course we will still have to win our last game against
Strikers to secure our spot in the final. Anyway, last night we played a tight first half exchanging goals back and forth
with the Galaxy. The halftime score was 4-4. In the second half we really tight up our defense and started making better passes.
We outscored them 5-1 in the second half. PJ led all players with 4 goals followed by Shoup with a hat trick. Scott and
Shawn each pitched in a goal and an assist. A special thanks to Jason who played in the goal for the first time and
did a good job making 4 saves ; Great win last night.
Game Recap ( 5-16-08) UFC 6 Cosmos 5
We lost a very tough game to 1st place UFC. With the game tied at 5-5 UFC got the winning goal
with 2 minutes left to play. The turning point in the game was when the ref awarded a direct kick to Cosmos and after the
Cosmos scored it the ref decided it was a indirect kick. Our rules state that all fouls are direct. The only indirect kicks
are kick ins form the side line. SO instead of being tied up 4-4 at halftime we were down 4-3. SOmetimes refs decide
the game and it hurts. The team is now in 2nd place tied with OC Galaxy at 4-2-0.
Game Recap ( 5-9-08) Rowdies 8 Cosmos 4
Cosmos lose first game of the season. Starting the game short and ending the game short players is
never a good idea.
Game Recap (May 2nd) Cosmos 14 - Bulls - 7
Cosmos had a great finishing practice Friday night against the Bulls. With 9 guys ready to go at
game time against the Bulls 13 players the odds didn't look good. But within 10 minutes the Cosmos had taken control of the
game with a 4-0 lead. By halftime the score had risen to 6-1. The second half was really sloppy with both sides not playing
much defense. Midway through the second half the score was 12-3. The scoreing finally ended at 14-7. The most goals the Cosmos
have scored in one game . The win moves the Cosmos into a two way tie with Westside. (4-0-0) Cosmos lead the league in scoring
with 30!
Game Recap (4-25) Cosmos 8 Revenge 2
This was a great game for the number of players we had and the end result. With 11 subs
it looked like some guys were worried about playing time. But with 2 players leaving at the half we were then left with only
2 subs. After Jimmy got a red card we were left with 1 sub. Just goes to show you that you never know what can happen. It's
a good thing to start with 2 or 3 subs in this league. Halftime score was Cosmos 2-1. But in the 2nd half we dominated
and eventual pushed the lead to 7-2 with only a few minutes left in the game. The final goal game with less than 30 seconds
left to make the final 8-2. Our highest scoring game so far this season. Our record is 3-0-0 and we are in a tie for 1st place
with Westside.
Game Recap (4-18-08) Cosmos 5 Ship 2
Tonight didn't start the way it should have. We gave the Ship 2 quick goals before we even began
to really play. FInally just before the Half Chuy finished a nice goal with a great assist from Shoup to get us a 2-1 deficit
at the Half. In the second half we really started playing well and dominating the game putting away 4 more goals to take the
lead for good. Second half goal scorers were Chuy, Lussier, Tatone and Shoup. Great Goalkeeping in the 2nd half by Dempsey
with 2 great saves.
Game Recap (4-11-08) Cosmos- 4 Madrid- 2
The new season has finally begun. We had a pretty good showing Friday night with 11
players. In the first half Chuy got the Cosmos first goal of the season. Steve Tatone got the 2nd goal of the season with
a direct kick around the wall. Bryan SHoup scored the 3rd goal with a half volley from the top of the box. The haltime score
was 3-0 Cosmos. In the 2nd half Chuy got his second goal with a blast from about 25 yards out. With the Cosmos leading 4-0
and in control Madrid fought hard and eventually got 2 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game.
Game Recap (1-11-08) Cosmos-6 OC Gallaxy-3.
We had to play the whole game short a player and still dominated by winning 6-3 over a team that had subs. Martin gave
us a huge boost scoring 3 goals and assisting on another. Lussier has 2 goals and an assist with Jason Smith pitching in a
goal and an assist to finish up the scoring. Dempesy made some great saves to keep the scoring low making about 7 great saves. Thanks
to all who made this a great season. We led the league in goals scored (55) but will finish in second place with one
loss. I'm sure if we had a playoff game we would beat the first place team with a full squad. We finish the season in 2nd
place with a record of 8-1. Next season Carlos will be running the team with some help .
Game Recap (12-21) Cosmos 9 Chivas 2
Cosmos win another game but still only in second place. With only two games left in the season and no playoffs for the
championship all we can do is keep winning and hope the 1st place team loses one. Even if were not in 1st place atleast
we lead the league in scoring! Tonights game was a fun game for everyone who played. One notable event was Jason Smith scoring
his first goal in over 15 yrs. WOW! Better late than never... Shoup had a hat trick Lagatta had 1 goal and 2 assists while
Carlos and Ramon chipped in a few assists each. We are now 7 and 1 overall.
Game Recap ( 12-14) Cosmos 5 Bulls 0
After a month of not playing games we finally got back on the field. It was tough to get a full squad on the field but
it all came together right before the game kicked off. Jason Smith got his first goal off the season with a lot of help from
Jimmy. Shoup finished 2 goals with Jimmy getting his hat trick and an assist. The shutout was the result of some great goalkeeping
by Sean Dempsey who saved 4 one on ones in the second half. Halftime score was 4-0. We are still in 2nd place with a record
of (6-1-0).
Game recap (11-16) Cosmos - 5 UFC - 2
The night started of bad with only 6 guys on the field to start the game for the first 5 minutes. Eventually our reserves
showed up and we were able to make subs. Our first goal was scored by Carlos who was hanging out on the goalline when Jimmy
hit a shot that looked to be a goal until Carlos touched it in to score his first goal of the season and steal a stat point
from Jimmy. Bryan scored the second goal after recieving a great through ball from Sean. Halftime score was 2-0. With two
subs to start the second half we were looking good. Two more goals were scored by one by Jimmy and Bryan to make it 4-0 midway
through the 2nd half. UFC finally got on the board with about 10 minutes to play to make it 4-1. We continued to pressure
their keeper with some very close scoring chances and finally got our 5th goal with about 6 minutes to play by Shawn McDermott.
Shortly after that goal UFC got a very nice goal that went upperV from a side volley to make it 5-2 and that's the way it
ended. We had a Great effort by everyone last night!
Game recap (11-9) Cosmos- 4 CFC- 3
We played a great game against CFC which is the best team we have faced all season. If we had this group out for the
game against Westside we would have won for sure. Fist half goals were scored by Jimmy and Matt. Halftime score was Cosmos
2- CFC-3. In the second half we really came together and shut CFC down. Once we took the lead at 4-3(Mike L, Matt) with
10 mintues to go CFC really started putting pressure on us. Good thing we had 3 subs to keep us fresh and hold of CFC for
the victory.
Game Recap (11-2) Cosmos - 2 Westside-4
The game started off bad for us with only 4 players ready to start the game. We should of had 9 guys at kickoff with
one showing up at halftime. Anyway we played with four until Chuy showed up 5 minutes into the game to give us 5 players.
With only 5 guys we scored first. Chuy gave a nice chip pass to Shoup who volleyed the pass into the goal from about 15 yards
out to give us the 1-0 advantage. About 15 mintues into the half Surg showed up to play goalie. Westside quickly scored
on Surg to tie it up 1-1. Halftime score was 1-1. We started the second half a man short and played pretty good even though
we were getting tired. Westsdie scored 10 minutes into the half to take the lead 2-1. Shawn McD came on the field after that
goal to give us a full squad for the last 15 minutes of the game. With 10 minutes left Westside scored to make it 3-1.
We then countered to make it 3-2 with a great solo goal from Matt. But with 5 mintues to go a Westside player dribbled the
ball 2 yards out of boards and made a cross that was finished to make it 4-2. We all were very upset the ref didn't call the
ball out and then he decide to just call the game after we kicked off. This is a team we would have beated if we had started
with a full squad.
Game recap (10-19) Cosmos 12 Juventus 3
Cosmos dominated the game from the start to the finish. Even thought the other team was short a player in the 1st half
we decided to also play short so it was even. Halftime score was 6-1. By the start of the second half they had another player
show up so we then played 7v7 for the second half. Unfortunately we had two of our players get injured during the second half.
Carlos strained groining and Chuy with a tight hamstring. Both should be ready to go in a week or two. Good thing we
had 3 subs. Cosmos remain in first place with 4 tough games in row against teams with winning records.
Game Recap (10/12) Cosmos 3 Rowdies 2
We started out the game a man short for the first 10 mintues. When our 7th player got on the field we were only down
1-0. Halfway through the first half Josh Lagatta score a low hard shot form about 18 yards out to tie the game at 1-1. With
about 5 mintues left in the half the Rowdies took the lead again with a 20 yard shot that found the upper V. Matt Morse arrived
at halftime so we had a sub and a very fresh one at that. Being done 2-1 to start the second half we came out strong controlling
the tempo of the game and just barely missing on 6 great shots. Finally with about 5 mintues to go in the game Matt
Morse scored his first goal of the season to tie the score at 2 apiece. With about 3 minutes left in the game Gavin made a
great pass to Shoup who put a move on the defender and hit a shot with his left foot to the lower right side of the goal for
the winning goal. Cosmos win 3-2!
Game Recap ( 10/5) Cosmos - 8 Matrix - 4
Trying to repeat might be possible especially after the way we played last night. With the
addition of 6 new players 3 of which played last night we look like we could be even better than last season. The scoring
start off quickly last night with the Cosmos scoring the first goal about 5 mintues into the game and the second
goal about 2 mintues later. Both early goal were scored by Mike Lussier. Halftime score was 4-1 with new goalie Sean Dempsey
making some great first half saves. In the second half new addition Sean McDermott showed he will be an offense threat
in this league having a number of good strikes and scoring a nice 20 yard blast to the near post. The goal of the game came
after the Matrix had scored. Chuy shot a knuckling bullet for the kickoff to beat the keeper to the lower right side off the
goal. Jason Smith almost got his first goal of his 7v7 career with 2 quality shots just bearly missing. Keep it up J
and your get one. The final goal of the game came when the goalie tried to clear a ball that was deflect into the
goal off his own defender. Final score Cosmos 8 Matrix 4.
Game Recap (9-28) Championship Game Cosmos 3 Westside 2
Cosmos win the championship game 3-2. It was a tough fought battle but the Cosmos came back in the second
half to win the game thanks mainly to the finishing touches of Chuy last night who scored all 3 goals. We were down 2-1 at
halftime but scored of 2 driect kicks in the second half to tie it and then take the lead for good. Congrats to all who helped
played their asses off last night! We will get the T-shirts soon.
Game Recap (9-21) Cosmos - 6 UFC-2
Incredible result considering we only had 6 players against UFC's 10 players. Carlos did
a great job of organizing the team. Goal scorers were Jimmy 2, Chuy 2, and Mike L 2. The win secures second place for us and
a show down against top seeded Westside a team we beat in the first game of the season. I'm sure Westside won't try and play
us with only 6 players like the first time we beat them 3-1. Should be a great game!
Game recap (9-14) Cosmos - 5 Bulls - 6
Frustrating loss drops us into a two way tie for second place. The Cosmos looked like they would cruise to and easy victory
leading 3 to 1 at halftime. Unfortunately Pele came out of retirement and decide to play for the Bulls. They outscored us
5 to 2 in the second half with the Pele look alike scoring 5 goals against us. It would have been a lot different game
if we had finished some of our chances. Carlos did the best he could in goal making about 3 saves even with a bad hamstring.
Hopefully we can our keeper our this friday night (Chris Wolley!) Next game is against the second place team we are tied with
UFC. We must beat them to get a spot in the finals. Go Cosmos!
Game Recap ( 9-07) Cosmos- 8 Galaxy- 4
Cosmos win 8-4.
The Cosmos are now tied for first with Westside at 6-1. The Cosmos dominated the game last night taking and early
4-1 lead and then cruising to a 5-2 halftime lead. The second half was a little tougher since Ramon left the game early with
a tight calf muscle and Steve got a cramp in his calf 15 minutes into the second half. With Steve as our only sub we
switch him into goal and put the fresh and eager to score Chris Wolley onto the field. To bad he didn't score but he came
close a few times. The final score was 8-4 with the Galaxys final two goals being score in the last 10 minutes of the
game. We had two guys with hattricks last night Steve and Mike L. We also had Mike Decosta score his 1st goal of the season.
With two games remaining the Cosmos still need to win both to secure a spot in the finals.
Game Recap (8-24) Cosmos 6 to 4 over Juventus
Again we started off the game with only 7 players with our one sub showing up 10 minutes late and another guy not showing
up at all. Despite the poor showing we still won and had a great game. Everyone played very well tonight. Goals were scored
by Randy with 2, Chuey with 1 and 3 assists, Mike L had 3 goals and Shoup had the other 2 assists. Thanks to Henry for
playing keeper the whole night and making some good saves for us. We are now in a 3 way tie for first so we need to win the
next 3 games to get into the championship game. Reminder to everyone we will not play a game this weekend.
Game Recap 8-17-07 Cosmos lose to CFC United 3-0
Our first loss seemed to be deserving considering the turnout we had. We started the game a player
short. 10 minutes later we had our 7th player show and then 5 mintues later we had a sub. CFC started the game with 4 subs
which eventually was the difference in the game.Unfotunately having a sub changed when Carlos pulled his hamstring about 5
minutes before the half. In the second half we moved Jason into the goal and put Gavin and his sore knee on the field. The
second half started off good with a lot of scoring opportunities. CFC's goalie had some great saves to keep the lead. Eventually
we got tired and started giving up some easy chances to CFC which they capitilized on for two goals. The final score was 3-0
but we stayed within striking distance all the way till the end. We still have a great chance to win this thing if win the
next 3 games.
Game recap (8-10-07) Cosmos- 4 Matrix- 3
Well last night we had a great come from behind win. We had never been down in a game, until last night.
For some reason we started of real slow and lazy with our team defense. We gave up 2 goals in the first ten minutes not to
mention letting the Matrix have 5 good shots on goal. Halftime score was 2-1. The first half goal was scored by Jimmy Obleda.
Goalies were Bryan Shoup and Josh Lagatta. Lagatta played goalie in the secoand half and did a great job. We dominated the
second half but, had a lot of trouble finishing easy chances in front of the net. We even missed a PK . Finally in the last
10 mins. we started scoring and took the lead with about 3 minutes to go.Goals were scored by Steve Tatone, Jimmy Obleda
and Mike Lussier scored the final goal. The only goal we gave up in the second half was an own goal that was caused
by a miscommunication between our defender and our goalie.
Friday Game Recap (8-3) Cosmos-9 Chivas-1
Last night was lots fun . It was great to see all the wives and kids and grandpa
out to the game. I think we had about 10 fans last night a new record HAHA. We had 8 players to start the game last
night a new record. We have never had a sub before. New add Gavin Beglin had a break out game with 4 goals. Having scored
the first goal of the game it seemed like he got more hungry to score after each goal. The halftime score was 3-0. First half
goalie was Matty C, WHo kept the shutout with 2 saves. Second half started off great with a couple quick goals. With a total
of 6 goals being scored in the second half. Second half goalies were Mike D and Carlos.They combined for 4 saves and only
allowed 1 goal. Unfortunatley in the second half Matty got kicked in the ankle and had to leave the game. SO we played the
last 15 minutes with no subs. We hope Matty can play next week. Goals and assits for the game were: Gavin 4g 1a, Steve 2g
2a, Chuey 1g 4a, Bryan 1g 1a, Josh 1g 1a, Great job to the players that played Goalie and deffense. We almost kept a
shutout until the last 5 minutes. Lets see if we can gwet a shutout this Friday. We play on a great field at Tuffree Jr. High
at 9pm.
Friday recap 7-27(Cosmos 10 Rowdies 6)
Tonight we only had 6 players.
So we played the entire game a player short. The other team only had seven players with no subs. Shoup had to play goalie
in the first half since Chris Wooley got stuck at the LAX airport. Shoup kept the game close only allowing 2 goals and saving
3; while the offense put in 4 goals for the first half. In the first half Tatone had 2 goals Lagatta had 1 goal and
Chuey had 1. In the second half Lagatta stepped in between the pipes to play keeper and gave up 2 goals in 15 minutes. So
Decosta stepped in for the last 10 minutes and had 2 saves while only giving up 2 goals. In the second half goals were scored
by Shoup, Lagatta, Decosta, Ramone, and 2 by Tatone. If we had a full squad the stats could have been astronomical.
